Aurora is a talented painter, sculptor, designer and educator. She has several years' experience in the creation and teaching of art, in different media, and also in the staging of exhibitions for charitable, educational and commercial purposes. Her skills in home staging developed from her responding to personal requests to redesign existing home interiors and to develop plans for home renovation projects. Her artistic insight, coupled with her practical understanding of home design, give her an ideal combination of skills for home staging. Her boundless energy and excellent eye for detail allow her to bring out the best in a home. With unique insights into design, she understands that sometimes even small changes to a home can have an enormous impact on the overall feeling of a home. Aurora's focus is always to maximise the aesthetic feel of a home in order to draw in prospective buyers and to enhance the final outcome of any home sale.
As a painter, Aurora is known for creating evocative, abstract paintings which reflect her emotional reactions to the natural and built environments. Her desire is not to replicate what she sees but to develop exciting images focussed on colour, lines, shapes, textures and space for their own sake. She utilises bold colours, textural surfaces and gestural movements to portray different emotional states. Aurora is drawn to the art of the abstract expressionists, whose work demonstrates freedom in expression and an intuitive approach to painting. But expressionism also emphasises the emotional response of the viewer. Similarly, Aurora wants the viewer to respond to her artwork – to its colours, textures and imagery. Her abstractions are formed with broad, energetic brushstrokes, confident and expressive. Her paintings are carefully layered through a number of lush, textural applications of colour, which allow incidental details to emerge in her work. The selection of colours is critical to the reflection of certain emotions, and Aurora keeps her mind open to variations in colour and shape, as she develops each artwork. Ultimately, abstract art is her chosen form of inner expression.
Aurora's understanding of interior design comes from knowing what to add in and what to leave out. She draws inspiration from Post Modernism, which stresses simplicity, clarity of form and absence of clutter, and also from Scandinavian Modernism, which accents the virtues of beautiful, functional objects that are affordable and accessible. She utilises colour thoughtfully, because colours greatly influence our emotional impressions of our surroundings and the opinions we form of an interior space, an entire home or a garden. The finishing touches in many of Aurora's designs come from the use of natural materials and organic forms – appearing in handmade treasures, old books or flowers and plants, always strategically placed to create the perfect effect.

Carmel was the perfect person to join the business. As a kindred spirit and sister, she has a creative flair and strong passion for design. Carmel's approach to home staging is to combine elegance with simplicity – to create an ambiance in which you feel the warmth of a home immediately upon walking through the front door. She knows just what it takes to create appeal and to make any home uniquely inviting. Carmel is also passionate about collecting beautiful items and has an excellent eye at auctions, often finding incredible pieces at affordable prices. She is a master organiser and can create order even in the most disorganised home. Carmel also has a natural talent in constructing beautiful garden settings, functional and timeless, and truly impressive.
We also work closely with a range of trades people. If a project needs additional services, we obtain assistance from landscape gardeners, carpenters, painters and handymen.
